Build a long-run corrugated roofing take-off from a drone photo, Google Earth screenshot or other aerial image. Calibrate one known distance, trace the roof, then calculate sheet lengths, sheet quantities, flashings, underlay and indicative fixings.
Use one real measurement from Google Earth, a plan, or the building itself. Click Set scale above the image to enter the known distance.
Step 2
Roof plane
Click one corner, then the diagonally opposite corner.
Step 3
Flashing / edge
Click Add flashing / edge above the image, choose the type, then draw its two endpoints.

Start with the clearest, most straight-down image available. For a Google Earth image, use its Measure tool or a known wall/building length to establish scale.

AI roof check optional
AI can suggest roof form, visible planes and likely flashing types. It does not replace the calibrated measurements or automatically order materials.

Order length
Add roof planes with two opposite-corner clicks to create a sheet schedule.
Sheet order lengths
Required length is the measured sloping sheet length plus your allowance. The calculator uses standard stock lengths of 1.8, 2.4, 2.7, 3.0, 3.6, 4.2, 4.8, 5.4 and 6.0 m. If one sheet is too short it automatically selects the smallest suitable 2, 3 or 4 sheet combination, allowing 150 mm overlap at each end lap. Supplier availability varies.

This is a material estimator. Confirm dimensions, sheet layout, laps, flashing details, fixing patterns, wind zone/exposure requirements and manufacturer installation requirements before ordering or installing roofing.
How the photo measurement works
The image itself does not contain reliable real-world dimensions. This calculator uses one known distance to establish a pixel-to-metre scale. Each roof plane is then measured by clicking one corner and the diagonally opposite corner. The calculator then aligns a rotated rectangle to the dominant roof/corrugation direction in that area. If the detected angle needs adjustment, the plane has 1° rotate controls. From the rotated plan measurement it works out the two side dimensions, roof-surface area, sheet count and sloping sheet length after pitch is applied. Sheets are assumed to run on the shorter side by default, with a per-plane option to swap the run direction. Each plane also shows a FALL arrow along the sheet run; use Flip fall if it points toward the ridge instead of the eave.
Use the mouse wheel on desktop to zoom into the exact point under the pointer, or pinch on a phone/tablet, for precise point placement. Drag the enlarged photo to move around it; zooming and panning do not alter the measurement scale. For the best result, use a reasonably straight-down image with little perspective distortion. Drone orthophotos or high-resolution aerial images are preferable. Google Earth/satellite screenshots can be useful for preliminary estimates, but imagery resolution, age, trees, shadows and 3D perspective may reduce accuracy.
Profile presets use published nominal manufacturer data for Metalcraft Corrugate and T-Rib, plus Dimond Corrugate, LT7, Styleline and Veedek. The preview drawings are schematic only. Always confirm the exact profile, availability and current supplier documentation for the project.
